About Lab-Grown Diamonds

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond created in a laboratory using advanced technology that replicates the natural conditions of heat and pressure under which diamonds form beneath the Earth's mantle. They possess the exact same physical, chemical, and optical properties as mined diamonds and are composed of 100% pure carbon.

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are authentic diamonds. They have the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), sparkle, fire, and brilliance as natural diamonds.

Lab-grown diamonds are pure carbon, just like mined diamonds. In contrast:

  • Cubic Zirconia (CZ): A synthetic crystalline material (zirconium dioxide) that is less durable and lacks the optical depth and hardness of a diamond.
  • Moissanite: A distinct gemstone composed of silicon carbide with different refractive properties and a different facet sparkle pattern.

There are two primary methods used to create lab-grown diamonds:

  • HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature): Replicates the Earth's natural environment by applying extreme pressure and temperature to a carbon source.
  • CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition): A diamond "seed" is placed in a vacuum chamber filled with carbon-rich gases, which break down and deposit pure carbon layer by layer.

No, not with visual inspection or standard loupes. Because their physical, optical, and chemical compositions are identical, specialized spectroscopic testing equipment is required to detect the growth patterns unique to lab creation.

Yes. Because they are chemically pure crystallized carbon, lab-grown diamonds will test as real diamonds on standard thermal diamond testers.

Why Choose Lab Diamonds

  • Exceptional Value: Lab diamonds typically cost 60% to 80% less than mined diamonds of identical cut, color, clarity, and carat weight.
  • Ethical & Conflict-Free: Grown in controlled environments with clear supply chains, avoiding conflict-zone sourcing.
  • Sustainable: Significantly reduces the heavy land disruption and environmental impact associated with large-scale geological mining.

Lab diamonds hold long-term value in their physical beauty, durability, and wearability. However, like mined diamonds, their secondary resale market typically reflects a depreciation from retail purchase prices.

Quality, Certification & Materials

Yes. Our lab-grown diamonds come with independent grading certificates from internationally recognized gemological laboratories such as IGI (International Gemological Institute) or GIA (Gemological Institute of America). Each diamond is also laser-inscribed on the girdle with a unique identification number corresponding to its grading report.

All our fine jewelry is crafted using solid, authentic precious metals — including 9K, 10K, 14K, and 18K solid gold (White, Yellow, and Rose) and 950 Platinum. We do not use base metal plating for our fine diamond lines.

Yes. In addition to lab-grown diamonds, we offer high-grade moissanite, natural/lab-created colored gemstones, and custom birthstone options upon request.

Jewelry Care & Maintenance

  • Routine Cleaning: Soak the piece in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap for 10–15 minutes. Gently scrub behind the stones using a soft-bristle toothbrush, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and dry with a lint-free cloth.
  • Safe Storage: Store your jewelry in individual soft pouches or lined compartments to prevent stones from scratching one another.
  • Daily Wear: Remove fine jewelry before heavy lifting, gardening, swimming in chlorinated pools, or handling harsh chemicals.
